What You’ll Do
- Be Reliable and Ready: Arrive on time for every scheduled shift, demonstrating your commitment and dependability.
- Maintain Supplies: Keep janitorial carts stocked with all necessary cleaning supplies, linens, and towels. You’re always prepared for the job.
- Prepare and Restock: Set up areas for cleaning and ensure linens are replenished where needed. Collect soiled linens for laundering from spa and locker rooms.
- Clean and Polish: Use vacuums, shampoo machines, and other equipment to clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture. Dust and polish metalwork, furniture, and fixtures to perfection.
- Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors and carpets to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Tidy Common Areas: Clean offices, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces to keep them inviting.
- Trash Duty: Regularly empty trash bins in offices and public areas to maintain a tidy environment.
- Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and tiles.
- General Cleaning: Wash walls, ceilings, and windows; move and arrange furniture as needed to ensure all areas are spotless.
- Inspect and Report: Keep an eye out for maintenance issues such as damage, burned-out light bulbs, or leaking faucets, and report them promptly.
- Spot and Report: Look out for maintenance issues like broken fixtures or leaky faucets and report them right away.
- Stay Safe: Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Deep Clean: Perform scheduled deep cleaning and window washing when needed.
- Laundry: Wash, dry, and fold laundry as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting is a plus, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must!
- Good Communication: Comfortable talking with both team members and guests.
- Versatility: Able to handle different tasks efficiently, even when things get busy.
- Flexibility: Willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
Working Conditions
- Variated Schedule: Work hours may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This is a full time, year-around position.
- Variety of Environment: You’ll work indoors and outdoors and might encounter different conditions, including chemicals and other cleaning agents. We make safety a priority!
