Janitor (3rd Shift)

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.
• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Dispose of waste and segregate waste in accordance with recycling programs.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including ride-on sweeper/scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers, and pallet jacks.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, storage, and supply.
• Complete daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor.
• Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to the management team.
• Attend and participate in all required training, shift meetings, and committees.

Requirements

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Can work assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Demonstrated work history.
• Able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to meet physical demands required for the position: stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb; lift up to 50 pounds; work in cold environments and around moving equipment; good visual acuity with ability to distinguish colors.
• Able to operate material handling equipment.

Position Abilities and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes but is not limited to noise, cold temperatures, standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around material handling equipment consistently throughout the shift.
• Physical lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted continuously throughout the shift.
• Wearing personal protective equipment and following all established procedures.
• Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to work overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.

Pay

Starting wage $22.18 + shift differential.
