Janitor (Third Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize designated areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other surfaces to maintain a neat appearance.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Auxiliary with seasonal or special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Support facility readiness by helping with basic room setup or cleanup when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• The Janitor works in indoor and, at times, outdoor areas of the facility.
• The role may require evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday hours depending on business needs.
• This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
• The employee may be required to lift and carry cleaning supplies or equipment and work safely around cleaning chemicals and machinery.
• All Employees Shall Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
• Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
• Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
• Recommend improved EH&S practices.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
