Responsibilities
- Shift: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm with the ability to work every other weekend.
- Provide a clean and healthy work environment for the rest of the employees.
- Clean, sanitize and perform general upkeep of the lunchrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, office, and surrounding areas.
- Trash removal.
- Operate sanitation equipment (i.e. floor scrubbers).
- Assist in other areas as needed.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained in order to maintain SQF Level 3 certification.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
- Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
- Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
- Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No prior experience or training required.
- Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
- Thorough Knowledge of GMP’s and Sanitation Procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Thorough knowledge of chemical safety.
- Strong attention to detail.
