Janitor - 1st Shift

About the Role

A Janitor will work under moderate supervision, cleaning and maintaining production areas, offices, restrooms, corridors, and other plant areas. This position assists in moving or placing equipment and seating as needed. This role is part of a collective bargaining agreement, with wage and workplace conditions subject to the agreement.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning operations including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, dry and wet mopping, and stripping floors using Raytheon-approved materials and equipment.
• Wax, treat, buff, and polish floors; wash surfaces such as glass partitions, windows, blinds, walls, handrails, elevators, and water fountains.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in restrooms and washrooms, replenishing supplies as required.
• Provide and empty waste containers, sort contents, and move waste to collection areas.
• Assist in arranging and placing equipment for office, conference, or auditorium areas.
• Use ladders for general cleaning within restrooms.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain records, move materials, and follow safety rules.
• Operate cleaning equipment including buffing machines, vacuum cleaners, ride-on/walk-behind equipment, and small hand tools.
• Perform other duties as required or directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD Confidential security clearance (active clearance required after day 1).
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Pay

Starting wage: $21.74 per hour.

Schedule

1st Shift – 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday (or as defined by the collective bargaining agreement).
