Jacksonville Icemen – Internship opportunity for the 2026–27 ECHL season, running from mid-September 2026 to April 2027 (or completion of playoffs).
About the Role
The internship program provides hands-on experience on game days and in the front office. Interns will work closely with all members of the Jacksonville Icemen Front Office to execute game-day operations, assist on office projects, and support community events with the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Attend all 36 home games throughout the season.
- Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of all game-day operations.
- Support planning and execution of theme nights, promotions, giveaways, intermission entertainment, postgame activities, and fan engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate on-ice presentations, including anthem singers, color guards, ceremonial puck drops, and other game-day entertainment.
- Support Game Presentation staff and assist with production needs during games.
- Manage in-game activations, including the 50/50 Raffle, DASH auction tables, merchandise sales, and inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting fans, supporting premium hospitality areas, and helping create a positive game-day experience.
- Assist with Season Ticket Member events, community appearances, promotional events, youth hockey initiatives, and mascot appearances as needed.
- Attend weekly office hours to gain experience in Ticket Sales, Marketing, Community Relations, Business Administration, and Event Operations.
- Assist with ticket sales support, administrative projects, and other departmental initiatives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Working toward a four-year college degree, graduate degree, or recent graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or Sports Management.
- Housing and transportation in the Jacksonville area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Strong professional attitude.
- Experience in the sports industry is preferred.
- Available to work every home game.

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. School credit and hours may be available for qualifying interns.
