About the role
The Graphic Design Intern will assist in creating digital and print graphics for the Jacksonville Icemen. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and heavily involved in game-day entertainment, social media, marketing campaigns, and fan engagement. This is an in-office position based in Jacksonville and includes required game-day availability for nights, weekends, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Design graphics for social media, video boards, marketing campaigns, promotions, and sponsorship activations
- Assist with game-day creative needs
- Create player graphics, hype graphics, score updates, promotional materials, and themed-night branding
- Support the marketing and creative teams with content ideation and execution
- Edit and resize graphics for multiple platforms and formats
- Help maintain brand consistency across all creative materials
- Capture and organize creative assets during games and events when needed
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
- Housing and transportation in Jacksonville or the surrounding area
- Availability to work home games, select road games, and designated office hours
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality creative standards
Skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator (knowledge of After Effects and Premier are a plus)
- Knowledge of sports design trends and social media content styles
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and branding
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and game days
- Basic motion graphics or video editing experience is a plus
- Portfolio or samples of previous design work required
Compensation
This is a non-paid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
