About the Role

As a J2EE Developer based in Annapolis, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise-level applications using Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition technologies. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and scalability of our software solutions, ensuring they meet both business and technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software products. Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable J2EE applications with a focus on backend services and integration.
• Design and implement RESTful web services to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations.
• Write comprehensive unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality and facilitate continuous integration.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Utilize Hibernate for efficient database interaction and object-relational mapping.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to optimize application performance.
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in J2EE development with strong knowledge of Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services development and integration.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks for database management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Certification in Java or related technologies.
