Overview
To ensure all items are prepared and stored to specifications.
Essential Functions
- Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines
- Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service
- Display basic knife skills
- Learn all menu items produced by assigned station
- Refrigeration and serving of cold food
- Production of orders
Tools And Equipment
- Cooking utensils and equipment
- Pots, pans, dishware, silverware, glassware
- Food slicing machine
- Knives
- Oven
- Grill/stove burners
- Microwave appliances
- Steam kettle
Qualifications
- Knowledge in a wide range of cooking techniques
- Good computer skills and organization skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Working Environment
- Interior of hotel
- In all Food and Beverage areas
- Exposure to humidity and extreme temperatures
- Exposure to food items and beverages
- Exposure to food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals
