ITS Technician

Supports and Maintains ITS Systems

• Configures and troubleshoots equipment failures.
• Replaces defective parts and routes cables and wiring.
• Cable management of ITS cabinets and gantries.
• Documents work through the ticketing system.
• Responds to emails and phone calls for support.
• Performs preventive and proactive maintenance.
• Inspects, tests, and services equipment.
• Ensures proper system operations and reduces downtime.

Installation and Troubleshooting

• Install various equipment (up to 100ft in air).
• Install antennas, CCTV cameras, Wavetronix devices, and Connected Vehicle equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment using various software applications.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting for quick fixes or device replacements.
• Use low voltage devices for minimal electrical work.
• Terminate cables and connections such as Cat-5, Cat-6, Coax, and unique wires.
• Operate a Bucket Truck at various heights up to 100ft.

Technical Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Six (6) months to one (1) year of education or training beyond a HS diploma.
• Up to 1 year of experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possess a Class “B” CDL or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Ability to operate bucket truck controls at various heights.
• Load/unload equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Preferred: Video Management Certificate, Axis or Bosch Certified.
