About the role

Ardagh Metal Packaging is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to operate industrial trucks and perform various material handling tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial trucks to transport materials between storage areas, warehouses, trucks, machines, and loading docks.
• Stack and unstack pallets of cans, rebuild as needed.
• Fills out forms, checks identification, counts, and/or weighs materials.
• Inputs and extracts information in a computer system to generate appropriate paperwork.
• Handles and dumps scrap, spoilage, or trash.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance checks on industrial trucks.
• Maintain the highest level of housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Understand and execute all loading procedures as they apply to each individual customer.
• Recognize defective product during loading and transportation process.
• Communicate issues with incoming product immediately and follow up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Detail oriented.
• Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and execute all loading procedures as they apply to each individual customer.
• Ability to recognize defective product during loading and transportation process.
• Communicate issues with incoming product immediately and follow up.

Skills

• Ability to handle skids, pallets, chipboard, top frames, drums or other material.
• Ability to input and extract information in a computer system to generate appropriate paperwork.
• Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
