About the role
We are seeking a full-time IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Technician II to join our growing ITAD Operations team. This experienced, hands-on role is responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and processing enterprise IT equipment for resale, reuse, or recycling.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, test, and process incoming servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing, secure data erasure, imaging, and grading using Blancco software and company standards.
- Diagnose hardware failures and perform advanced repairs, upgrades, and component replacements to maximize asset value.
- Refurbish wholesale and e-commerce equipment for resale by configuring systems and verifying functionality.
- Accurately identify hardware by manufacturer, model, generation, and cut-line to ensure proper grading and resale.
- Scan incoming inventory into Salesforce and maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, grading decisions, and asset status.
- Ensure compliance with all data security, chain-of-custody, and IT asset disposition (ITAD) procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, system architecture, and enterprise IT equipment.
- Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Ability to independently perform advanced component replacements, including motherboards, screens, batteries, charging ports, RAM, storage drives, and keyboards.
- Experience using diagnostic, imaging, and secure data erasure tools (Blancco experience preferred).
- Ability to accurately identify, grade, and evaluate enterprise hardware for refurbishment and resale.
- CompTIA A+ Certificate required or minimum of 6 months of professional experience.
- Experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, computer repair, or enterprise hardware refurbishment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using inventory or asset management systems (Salesforce experience is a plus).
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and work around equipment during teardown, testing, and repair activities.

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
