Responsibilities
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
- Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and translates into proper system requirement specifications.
- Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
- Guides and advises subject matter experts, team members, and end-users through analysis, definition, verification, and validation.
- Ensures technical solutions comply with IT and TCHHN policy and procedures, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Develops technical and/or non-technical solutions to moderate to complex business needs and changes.
- Delivers quality outcomes through continuous improvement efforts to technical solutions.
- Works at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis, considering business implications.
- Supports and troubleshoots as needed, responding to user calls and effectively communicating with users.
- Communicates and interacts with business and technical teams on project requirements, specifications, impact monitoring, user updates, training, and support.
- Serves as a liaison within TCHHN to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between TCHHN business owners and IT from initial requirements to solutions.
- Evaluates vendor offerings, software enhancements, and reviews for adherence to technical standards.
- Facilitates development, implementation, and maintenance tasks, maintaining the integrity of programs and data.
- Analyzes TCHHN operations to identify opportunities for automation and assists in business process redesign and documentation.
- Prepares project plans, including definition, scope, resources, and schedules, and prepares detailed project timelines.
- Participates in 24-hour on-call rotation, leading technical consulting and support services and solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Associates degree required. Commensurate experience and/or certifications acceptable with CIO review. Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, information systems, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years healthcare IT experience in implementing and supporting Epic applications in a healthcare environment. Three (3) to five (5) years healthcare hospital and/or outpatient experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Integrity/Honesty, Oral Communications, Problem Solving, Interpersonal Skills, Self-Management, Teamwork.
- Licenses and Certifications: Up to date Certification in applicable Epic applications.
