About the role
Works under the direction of an assigned manager to develop and implement a communications strategy for the IT Division. Facilitates the creation and distribution of divisional information using multiple social media channels including Twitter and Facebook.
Responsibilities
- Drafts content including newsletters, memos, press releases, and other materials for senior leadership.
- Assists with the creation of training materials such as Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for IT systems, applications, and knowledge base articles.
- Fosters relationships with advocates and key persons.
- Assists with the creation of PowerPoint slide decks for upper management.
- Facilitates electronic file management including SharePoint sites and Microsoft OneDrive.
- Proofreads and edits written material.
- Creates and manipulates graphic material.
- Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a closely related field and four (4) years of professional experience in communications, training, or education; or any combination of experience and training that enables performance of essential job functions.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Active Directory is required.
- Experience in corporate, technical, or government communications and project management is preferred.
Pay
$64,207.78 - $93,100.80

- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Requires the ability to operate a computer and all basic office equipment.
Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment with regular contact with staff and management.
