About the role
L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst, Trade Compliance Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing IT solutions that support global trade operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global trade teams, IT teams, and external partners to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze current processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Design IT solutions to support global trade operations, including customs compliance, import/export processes, and trade finance.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Affiliate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather input and validate solutions.
- Ensure IT solutions comply with international trade regulations and standards.
- Identify potential risks and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project status, risks, and issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT business analysis.
- Hands-on experience supporting global trade operations within an IT context.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience working with ERP systems and global trade management software.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with global trade systems such as Descartes OCR EASE or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and process modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and import/export processes.
- PMP, CBAP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of trade finance, supply chain operations, and logistics processes.
- Experience with data integration, APIs, and system interfaces.
- Knowledge of automation tools and technologies.
