Responsibilities
- Controls security in the local area network including creation of passwords and allocation of access rights for users to data files and applications.
- Controls access rights to the company’s electronic mail system.
- Installs, configures and monitors file and application servers on the local area network.
- Performs hardware and software installation and maintenance.
- Installs and tests hardware and software for workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices in employee work areas.
- Diagnostics causes of failures and performs corrective or preventive maintenance.
- When necessary coordinates service calls to outside vendors, reporting problems and assisting with the repairs.
- Operates and monitors data communications hardware and software, including routers, modems, and communications servers.
- Aids employees in operation of personal computers, printers and other peripheral equipment.
- Keeps an up to date hardware and software inventory, and performs other administrative tasks required by IT standard procedures.
- Ensures compliance with the security policies established for the acquisition, design, development, operation, administration and maintenance of production systems, operating systems, control of networks and communication systems, databases and related technological resources of Werfen.
Qualifications
- Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical subject, or two years of experience in a similar position are required.
- Additional Skills/Knowledge: Working knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, servers, computer networks, and peripheral equipment.
- Language: Fluency in English required.

- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/softeware malfunctions and perform repairs is required.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this role is currently $70K to $90K. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
