IT Systems Engineer - Millennium Space Systems

About the role
This IT Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems at every stage of their lifecycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security, within the infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven individual who thrives in a cross-team collaborative environment. This position sits onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required). An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance post-start is required.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff
- Use expert-level configuration, administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability of infrastructure and systems
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system engineering tasks
Requirements
- Four (4) years of system engineering experience
- Linux and Windows architect experience
- Virtualization expertise specifically with vSphere
- CompTIA Security+ Certificate
- U.S. Citizenship (required for U.S. Security Clearance)
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure and Office 365 Tenant administration
- Storage Services and Platforms (e.g. Dell PowerStore, PowerVault)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience
- Operating system administration (e.g. RHEL, Windows Server)
- Configuration and administration of endpoint solutions (e.g. SCCM, Intune, SolarWinds, ServiceNow)
- Azure/O365 Online App experience (e.g. SharePoint, PowerBi, PowerAutomate)
- Domain management expertise (e.g. AD, SSO, PKI, GPO, DHCP)
- Automation and Scripting experience (e.g. Powershell, Python, Ansible)
- Containerization experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
- VMware Certified Professional or VMware Certified Advanced Professional

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $129,200 - $190,000
