IT Systems Engineer

SAIC is seeking an Information Technology (IT) based Systems Engineer (SETA) to support an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Chantilly, VA. This role involves providing technical expertise on Systems Engineering topics such as requirements, configuration management, readiness, verification and validation, and advising the government on program activities related to IT infrastructure provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Operate proactively with the ability to lead and execute project engagements without direct leadership oversight.
• Serve as the primary customer interface and advocate, managing cross-functional technical and relationship aspects to ensure mission success and maximize service adoption.
• Act as a dedicated change agent to ensure quality assurance and assist in shifting toward standardized IT service deliveries.
• Convert product requirements into total systems solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into engineering specifications.
• Educate consumers on current and upcoming IT service deliveries, changes, and potential impacts to existing capabilities.
• Understand the relationship between customer delivery schedules and IT service roadmaps.
• Serve as a key Technical Advisor for articulating service requirement gaps to support customer mission architecture.
• Provide detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (per DHS STEM list) with two (2) or more years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with Polygraph.

Pay

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
