IT Systems Engineer
About the role
At Fin you’ll be a Systems Engineer in IT, working on evolving our IT infrastructure with a focus on deliverability, identity & access management, and compliance. Responsibilities
- Identify and solve team, organizational, and business automation and integration problems.
- Design, build, and own efficient and easy-to-maintain automations and integrations that address challenges and improve our posture in identity & access management, endpoint management, security, compliance, and enterprise email deliverability.
- Take part in high-impact cross-organizational projects to integrate, expand, and evolve our corporate IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure-as-code.
- Govern and promote automation and AI adoption through enablement and education with the aim of eliminating friction and toil and helping the business work sustainably.
- Take part and drive bleeding-edge AI tools—we don’t shy away from being beta testers for new features/products to optimize our organization.
- Drive IT incident response in concert with other InfoSec and engineering teams.
- Drive and lead impact across the organization to adhere to our values and consistently raise the bar.
- Integrate and utilize AI tooling and continuously drive our automated no-code infrastructure via tools such as Tines and Workato.
Requirements
- First and foremost, you must have a passion for systems and automation and the desire to develop your skills in a fast-moving company.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer with great problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge assumptions by making data-driven discoveries and finding corresponding solutions.
- Good knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Perl). Note that the language doesn’t have to be one that we use here.
- Experience building and operating systems in the cloud, without a traditional corporate network perimeter. Our primary IT infrastructure is built on AWS, Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, Intune, Tines, and Workato.
Nice to Have
- Experience building robust, scalable integrations between billing and an ERP system, preferably NetSuite.

Pay
The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $142,000 - $162,000. Actual base pay will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Schedule
Fin has a hybrid working policy. We expect employees to be in the office at least three days per week.
