About the role
The University of Louisville is seeking an IT Systems Analyst IV (IT Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts Support Analyst).
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to analyze, design, test, implement, and maintain Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts solutions.
- Provide project support as needed to areas within Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts and other relevant business areas as needed.
- Provide advanced analysis of business data and offer detailed analysis and solutions that can be acted upon.
- Support Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts/Procurement staff regarding issues related to the associated mission, vision, and policies or resource allocation as it relates to Workday.
- Partner with others in the organization to interpret and manage business reports and analysis in an effort to identify areas for improvement and document and implement recommended changes.
- Provide design, configuration, and troubleshooting services (functional and technical) for Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts solution.
- Provide troubleshooting support for functional and technical production issues, unexpected results, and process flaws including coordinating with Workday using their case management system.
- Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to optimize business processes (including Workflow/security).
- Collaborate with functional stakeholders to build reporting (basic and advance calc fields/all reporting types).
- Aid in researching new capabilities within Workday.
- Support regression testing and introduction of required changes as new Workday releases are introduced.
- Assist in the design and configuration of new Workday enhancements as they are made available with each new release.
- Develop expertise in the departmental use of Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts and serve as the point of contact for end users on proposed process and application changes.
- Consult with customers to conduct analysis on Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts business processes to help identify needs and facilitate finding solutions to those needs.
- Proactively identify customer strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of business process improvement.
- Propose solutions to Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts problems and consider timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing customer needs.
- Identify potential process improvements through data analysis that identifies inefficiencies, redundancy, and unleveraged system functionality.
- Coordinate the testing of maintenance and new functionality with business units.
- Prepare detailed systems documentation.
- Collaborate with business intelligence staff to ensure that reporting needs are included in system design and assist with the development and review of new reports and dashboards.
- Continuously increase technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and six (6) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts functionality.

- Technical skills in Workday Grants & Customer Accounts/Contracts.
