The Systems Administrator I supports all Systems and Infrastructure for SEARHC, within both internal and cloud platforms. They perform maintenance tasks independently such as installing new infrastructure components, creating system documentation and procedures, installing software and firmware updates of Infrastructure components, while upholding the security configurations within these systems. They provide Tier 3 support to resolve issues that are assigned to the Systems Infrastructure team. Quick learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies are essential.
Responsibilities
- Installing new infrastructure components
- Creating system documentation and procedures
- Installing software and firmware updates of Infrastructure components
- Upholding security configurations within systems
- Providing Tier 3 support to resolve issues
- Maintaining education and cross-training on various areas of expertise within IT Infrastructure
- Preparing, leading, and attending training when available and appropriate
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records related Infrastructure Systems
- Create, follow, and maintain documentation and checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency
Requirements
- A High School Diploma and demonstrates the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position
- A BS in Information Systems or related field preferred
- Microsoft or Citrix certifications preferred
- 2-4 years’ work experience managing Windows and Linux/Unix based server systems
- Demonstrated work in hands on configuration, maintenance, and direct responsibility for enterprise IT systems, with preference for a Health Care environment
- Scripting/Programming experience and background preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL, HIPAA, HITECH, and other standards applicable to Health Care IT preferred
Qualifications
- Highly proficient in/with Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS
- Familiar with PowerShell
- Enterprise-grade system monitoring technologies

Pay Range:$36.46 - $51.29
Schedule
Position requires frequent travel to locations in Southeast Alaska. Travel is by jet, small aircraft, and ferry.
