IT SURVEILLANCE SPECIALIST - CB & VR - FULL-TIME - VARIED SHIFT

About the Role

Maintain Surveillance physical servers, software, networking hardware, cabling, and cameras for all Mesquite Gaming properties.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 21 years old
• State of Nevada Gaming Permit
• Valid Driver’s License
• D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)
• Quantitative experience or Surveillance IT industry certification
• Minimum 2 years experience in the gaming industry
• Minimum 2 years experience working with server hardware, network switches, and cabling
• Experience with network layout and logic
• Proficiency with analog and IP cameras, multicast routing, and gaming internal standards as it pertains to surveillance operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain all Surveillance-related server hardware and software
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve camera and/or other equipment issues
• Install and adjust surveillance cameras and/or camera angles for optimum coverage
• Ensure backup and recoverability of Network Switch operations
• Assist with installing conduit, raceways, and fire wall protection
• Work on cameras in ceilings, on roofs, and outdoor poles at heights up to 50 feet
• Respond to, identify, and resolve system issues reported by surveillance operators and management
• Prepare and maintain a variety of departmental reports, records, and documentation
• Track and maintain departmental surveillance equipment/camera inventory
• Perform and/or participate in special maintenance projects as assigned
• Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management

• Proactively identify problems and develop resolutions for Network, Security, and Compliance Operations
• Develop recommended next steps to achieve greater efficiencies in all Surveillance-related systems
• Foster positive interactions and trust with internal customers

Physical Demands

The work is active. Typically, the employee will be walking, carrying, or moving between properties and departments. Responsibilities include walking, standing, bending, carrying mid-weight items such as network switches, servers, cameras, cable spools, and driving an automobile.

Work Environment

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of offices, training rooms, meeting spaces, server rooms, and commercial vehicles. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
