Position Overview:
Seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users across multiple educational environments. This position bridges traditional Level 1 desktop support with entry-level systems administration responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Unbox, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, tablets, and other end-user devices.
- Perform hardware installations, replacements, upgrades, and peripheral setup.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, printers, and common software issues.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users.
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts within Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Aid with password resets, account permissions, and basic user administration.
- Support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Group Policy-related tasks as assigned.
- Install software, apply updates, and maintain endpoint security standards.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and inventory using the organization's ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and equipment records.
- Escalate more complex infrastructure or networking issues to senior technical staff.
- Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role.
- Experience imaging and deploying Windows devices.
- Knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including user account management.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Able to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP).
