IT Support Specialist with Security Clearance

About the role

This individual will serve as the first line of support for lab systems, assisting users with onboarding, account setup, and troubleshooting across MacOS, iOS, VPN, and virtual desktop environments. They will manage and document help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues while maintaining accurate records of assets and inventory in coordination with asset management teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of support for lab systems, assisting users with onboarding, account setup, and troubleshooting across MacOS, iOS, VPN, and virtual desktop environments.
• Manage and document help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues while maintaining accurate records of assets and inventory in coordination with asset management teams.
• Support systems administration functions such as patching, updates, and maintaining network infrastructure, as well as assisting with NetApp SAN storage operations under guidance.
• Help implement new technologies within the lab and contribute to improving SOPs and operational processes.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years of relevant experience
• 1+ years in IT Help Desk support
• 3+ years of MacOS and iOS support experience required, no exceptions
• Experience with help desk ticketing systems and asset management practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting VPNs and/or virtual desktop environments (Citrix/VMware)
• Experience with user accounts and credentials
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate across distributed teams

Benefits

Compensation: $35-$40/hour
