Job Summary
The IT Strategy & Planning Sr Director - Strategy Enablement & Operating Model is responsible for IT strategic planning, analysis, and execution of IT functional plans to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic intent. This role fosters collaboration and connectivity while providing flexibility for productivity and work-life balance.
About the Role
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, with the option for alternate locations within commuting distance. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office locations or be granted an accommodation as required by law.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall enablement strategy, including taxonomy, frameworks, and supporting tools.
- Develop and maintain standards and foundational infrastructure for scalable adoption.
- Implement governance processes to ensure consistent and compliant execution.
- Ensure sustained consistency through clear guidance, documentation, and playbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to embed enablement practices into daily workflows.
- Evolve frameworks and tooling based on stakeholder input and changing business needs.
- Create IT strategies at the business unit level to align with unit priorities and IT objectives.
- Partner with senior planning leaders and executive leadership to create sound multi-year plans with clear assumptions and financial insights.
- Maintain awareness of related technology and business trends, using data and qualitative measures to advise senior management on IT strategy.
- Synthesize annual and multi-year plans to demonstrate alignment with corporate and CIO-level strategies and goals.
- Conduct external research and engage partners across multiple departments to frame strategic initiatives for investment or execution support.
- Analyze performance using forecast models and scenario analysis to identify emerging market and technological opportunities.
- Research new ventures and prospective service expansion opportunities.
- Create executive reports that interpret complex technical issues.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Data Collection and Analysis, IT Consulting, IT Performance Management, Strategy, Financial Planning, Business Intelligence and Analytics, or Business Process Design.
- Proven experience owning an enablement or operating model layer (e.g., taxonomy, frameworks, standards, tooling).
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable standards and infrastructure.
- Experience establishing governance mechanisms to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Track record of creating and maintaining reusable frameworks, documentation, and playbooks.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally to operationalize enablement.
