IT Specialist Mid - Jacksonville

About the role

This position provides desktop support for a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps in Jacksonville, FL. The candidate will assist the on-site team with in-person troubleshooting, reimaging machines for new users, installing Active Directory & other software programs on desktops and laptops, and providing desk-side troubleshooting & support for employees.

Location & Schedule

• 100% on-site at Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL
• Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours (start time between 6:30am and 8:30am) - 8-hour shifts
• Contract Duration: Long-term rolling
• Pay Rate: $29.41/hr. (BASE) + $5.09/hr. (SCA) = $34.50/hr. (TOTAL)

Requirements

• DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
• 2+ years of IT experience

Responsibilities

• Work independently with minimal direction and be able to help conceptualize, design, construct, test and implement portions of information technology solutions
• Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and information technology requirements
• Assist with project planning
• Hands-on software and hardware repair
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktop devices, peripheral equipment, and basic Outlook issues
• Support enterprise, network, systems, and operations
• Reimage machines

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows Server and Windows 7/8/10 experience highly desired
