IT Specialist-GCP

Under the general supervision of the IT Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate serves as a high-level technical contributor for the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability for departmental applications.
• Promote and advocate the foundational information system principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability throughout DIR.
• Invest in personal development through certification or continuous education to maintain position-related knowledge in IT infrastructure services.

Working Conditions

• Position is located at 2180 Harvard St #160, Sacramento, CA 95815 in a high-rise building with elevators.
• Temperature-controlled office environment with an assigned cubicle.
• Access to the department suite requires a special badge.
• Hybrid telework schedule with on-site work required four days a week.
