IT Support Specialist
About the role
Ledgent Technology has partnered with a stable, well-established local employer to find an IT Support Specialist who loves solving problems, helping people, and being the go-to resource when technology gets in the way of getting work done. This isn't a role where you'll sit behind the scenes all day. You'll be front and center, working directly with end users, tackling everything from laptop issues and Microsoft 365 questions to device deployments and troubleshooting. If you enjoy variety, thinking on your feet, and making someone's day better by solving a frustrating tech issue, this could be a great fit. You'll join a small, collaborative IT team where your contributions will be visible, your ideas will be heard, and your work will make an immediate impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Be the first point of contact for employee technology questions and support needs.
- Monitor and manage incoming support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Support Windows, Mac, and mobile device users.
- Configure and deploy new devices and equipment.
- Help onboard new employees with account setup and technology provisioning.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and day-to-day productivity tools.
- Resolve printer, peripheral, and workstation issues.
- Escalate more complex infrastructure and networking issues when needed.
- Maintain support documentation and contribute to process improvements.
- Assist with technology upgrades, deployments, and special projects.
- Help promote sound security practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows environments.
- Exposure to Mac devices and mobile technologies.
- Experience working within a ticketing system.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a natural curiosity for figuring things out.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities without losing your cool.
- A team player who takes ownership and follows through.
Bonus Points For
- Microsoft Intune experience.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience.
- Microsoft Entra ID exposure.
- Adobe application support experience.
- Experience supporting cloud-based collaboration or communication platforms.
- A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or related training.

Pay
Hourly Rate: $25-30/hr.
