IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/PLCYPLN)

About the role

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J9 (HAC)/HC4 CUST EXP PORTFOLIO OFC (HC4122).

Responsibilities

• Performs information technology (IT) customer support focusing and synchronizing DISA and customer efforts to achieve mission goals and increase operational effectiveness.
• Works with the customer to identify customer requirements based on analysis of business needs and practices.
• Assist in analyzing functional requirements and utilizes entry level knowledge of operating systems, applications software, and IT policies/procedures to assist in developing viable IT solutions and alternatives.
• Assist in the review of customer requirement documents and other requests for proposals to specify all technical requirements and concerns are made known to the directorate's engineering staff as appropriate.
• Brokers new customer workload and works with the project team leader, mentor, and advisor to support team members with project oversight and coordination efforts with other information systems professionals and technical personnel.
