IT SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

The Marvin Group is a strategic partner for global alternate mission equipment and sustainment, specializing in defense contracting. Based in Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport, the company comprises Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS), serving the Department of Defense and global allies for over 60 years.

About the role

The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing key IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and within scope.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution
• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed
• Successfully manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

• BS/BA in IS/IT or related field
• CMMC Certification and PMP preferred
• NIST 800-171 compliance experience
• 7+ years of experience successfully managing IT projects
• Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in IT applications or IT Infrastructure
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio
• PMP certification is a plus
• Must meet export control compliance requirements; all applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee)

Pay

Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $125,000 to $150,000
