About the role

This position serves our partners at Direct Care & Treatment (DCT). The MNIT DCT team provides essential IT support for a wide range of healthcare services, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of DCT are met, enabling them to deliver high-quality care and treatment services to Minnesotans in need.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, facilitate product delivery, or perform a combination of both while partnering with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver technology solutions that enhance business operations and user experiences.
  • Apply project management practices to plan, coordinate, and deliver information technology (IT) projects, products, or technology initiatives, including scope, schedule, risk, issue, change, and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with software developers, infrastructure teams, system administrators, architects, business stakeholders, vendors, or other technical partners to deliver technology solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
  • Support the delivery of information technology (IT) projects or technology initiatives using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Use project, product, or work management tools (e.g., Planview, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Sciforma, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar tools) to plan, coordinate, track, or report on IT projects or technology initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions that align with organizational goals and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing or coordinating information technology (IT) projects, products, or technology initiatives.
  • Experience must include: Applying project management practices to plan, coordinate, and deliver information technology (IT) projects, products, or technology initiatives, including scope, schedule, risk, issue, change, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting the delivery of information technology (IT) projects or technology initiatives using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience using project, product, or work management tools (e.g., Planview, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Sciforma, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar tools) to plan, coordinate, track, or report on IT projects or technology initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with software developers, infrastructure teams, system administrators, architects, business stakeholders, vendors, or other technical partners to deliver technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
  • A customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Information Technology Specialist 3 Level: A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing or coordinating information technology (IT) projects, products, or technology initiatives.
  • Information Technology Specialist 4 Level: A minimum of four (4) years of experience managing or coordinating information technology (IT) projects, products, or technology initiatives.

Skills

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, direct care, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems or healthcare technology platforms and supporting technologies.
  • Experience in public sector or government environments.
  • Experience in cross-functional team coordination and matrixed environments.
  • Experience in managing IT projects or products within a public sector or government environment.
  • Experience in Scrum Master, PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant project management or Agile certifications.

Pay

  • Hourly salary range: $33.96 - $55.83 for Information Technology Specialist 3; $37.72 - $62.21 for Information Technology Specialist 4.
  • Annual salary range: $70,908 - $116,573 for Information Technology Specialist 3; $78,759 - $129,894 for Information Technology Specialist 4.
