Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
- Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
- Makes sure the work scope, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and kept up to date.
- Coordinates between resource managers/supervisors and makes sure all necessary reviews and approvals are completed.
- May conduct performance/project analyses to help improve future projects/missions/programs.
- Has comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and makes personnel decisions.
- Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and helps develop new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
- Plans and executes all aspects of project management for assigned IT projects and helps the Government meet contract performance objectives.
- Responsible for all aspects of project management from requirements gathering to charter approval to schedule to delivery.
- Conducts regular meetings with Government leads to provide clear and concise project status updates, including all relevant elements of project management.
- Produces all project management documentation throughout the life of the project.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience supporting or leading IT projects utilizing project management principles.
- 1+ years’ experience as the lead project manager overseeing IT projects with a proven track record of meeting project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Expert in creating, executing, and documenting project plans from requirements gathering to charter approval to schedule to delivery.
- At least one of the following certifications is preferred: Agile Certified Practitioner (formally PMI-ACP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified associate in project management (CAPM), CompTIA Project+, or other certification exemplifying Project Management skills.
Pay
$130,000 - $165,000 annually
