IT Project Governance Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ (4 days on site per week at Harborside office)
Duration: 6+ months contract with potential for contract-to-hire
Compensation: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
Work requirements: US Citizen, Green Card holder, or authorized to work in the US
About the Role
In this position, you will review and approve the Initial Project Funding Request (IPR), Budget Application Form (BAF), Project Change Request (PCR), and Request for Agile Drawdown (RAD) submitted by project teams. This includes ensuring adherence to the Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and Approved Iterative Methodology (AIM), assessing the feasibility and justification of project plans (cost, schedule, scope), optimizing costs, identifying risks, and verifying that the appropriate level of detail is provided within the documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to project teams to resolve complex situations, mitigate risks, and apply PDLC or AIM in unique scenarios.
- Support project teams with toolsets such as the Project Portfolio Portal (in-house tool), MS Project, and PlanView.
- Coordinate with the Home Office in Japan for IPR/BAF/PCR/RAD approvals when required.
- Package IPR/BAF/PCR/RAD based on information provided by Project Managers, summarizing requests and inputting information into cost plans for expedited approvals.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the financial industry.
- Strong attention to detail, with daily validation of numbers and dates.
