IT Programmer Analyst, Full Time, First Shift, IS&T

Responsibilities

• Effectively interacts with vendors and/or users to define and validate system requirements including hardware and software requirements
• Provides clear and complete functional application and/or technical specifications effectively interacts with vendors to evaluate, select products and integrate them into UC Health Systems
• Designs error free and comprehensive logical and/or physical databases, tables and interfaces
• Provides information and designs for testing applications and contingency plans
• Maintains production systems, interfaces, batch jobs, and nightly processes
• Troubleshoots application, database, and interface issues; provides timely problem resolution
• Develops and executes unit testing to complete data validation and code verification
• Ensures compliance with change management and IT governance processes
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, vendors, and end users
• Contributes to project planning, resource estimation, and status reporting
• Independently performs complete testing of software and validates system requirements are met, including data and code verification
• Independently develops and performs complex comprehensive test plans including data reasonability and code verification
• Independently develops complete systems documentation
• Provides complex error free program code/scripts and/or database/table/interface design or setup
• Follows up to ensure programs/databases/interfaces meet business needs
• Supports by providing input to integration specifications, task level detail for project plans, coordinating effectively with team members, other teams' members, users and vendors, and assisting with resource estimates
• Documents and facilitates issue resolution, raises issues to the appropriate level, provides accurate and timely individual status reports, acts as a mentor to less experienced staff, and provides consults to IT staff
• Ensures that change management procedures are followed
• Makes input to customer relationship development, encourages and displays actions that result in high client satisfaction, provides effective written and verbal communication to end users, and provides consults to end users

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Experience: Two or more years experience in programming or analysis in a PC, Client Server or mainframe environment required
• At start of employment, the employee will be required to become Oracle OIC certified
