IT Process Consultant (Employee Lifecycle)

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand onboarding and offboarding requirements.
- Translate business requests into clear technical requirements for fulfillment teams.
- Guide stakeholders through the end-to-end employee lifecycle process.
- Build and maintain an Issues & Opportunities Matrix to capture risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Convert findings into an iterative action plan with clear priorities, owners, and timelines.
- Identify dependencies across systems, teams, and processes to ensure proper sequencing.
- Cook up coordination handoffs between Service Desk, Identity & Access, Application Administration, and other support teams.
- Document current and future state process flows.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and resolve process roadblocks.
- Coordinate manual workarounds while future automation is being developed.
- Drive accountability across fulfillment teams to ensure work is completed on time.
- Partner with HR, IT, Security, Facilities, Procurement, and business leaders to improve the employee lifecycle experience.
- Communicate technical concepts in business-friendly language and build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in IT service management, IAM, HR operations, or process consulting.
- Experience supporting enterprise joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, RBAC, and access provisioning.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and file permissions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience managing issue logs, RAID logs, or similar project artifacts.
- Strong project planning, dependency management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working across HR, IT, Security, Facilities, Procurement, and application teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar ITSM platforms.
- Familiarity with SailPoint, Entra ID Governance, or other IAM platforms.
- Consulting or advisory experience.
- ITIL, PMP, CBAP, SAFe, Agile, or related certifications.
- Experience designing or supporting employee lifecycle automation.
