IT Manager – Workforce & Operational Systems
Overview
Our client, a well-established industry leader, is seeking an experienced IT Manager – Workforce & Operational Systems to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise applications across Human Resources, Legal, and Learning Management. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines people management, technology strategy, vendor management, and enterprise application delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT leader with a strong enterprise background who enjoys partnering with business stakeholders while developing and mentoring technical teams. You'll oversee a portfolio of SaaS applications and internally developed systems, drive technology roadmaps, and ensure critical business platforms remain secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and external vendor partners.
- Partner with HR, Legal, and Learning leadership to define technology strategy and application roadmaps.
- Manage enterprise business applications throughout their lifecycle, including enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and production support.
- Drive technology initiatives from planning through implementation while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery for multiple SaaS platforms.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Manage project prioritization, resource planning, risk management, and portfolio reporting.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, governance processes, and data privacy regulations.
- Promote continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of progressive IT experience.
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Experience managing teams of approximately 5–7 direct reports.
- Strong background supporting enterprise business applications.
- Previous hands-on software development or technical engineering experience.
- Experience partnering with corporate business functions such as Human Resources, Legal, or Learning organizations.
- Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, vendors, and enterprise application portfolios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with one or more of the following: HRIS platforms (Oracle HCM, Workday, Dayforce, etc.)
- Learning Management Systems
- Document management solutions
- Enterprise communication platforms
- SaaS integrations using APIs, middleware, or integration platforms

- Base salary up to $140,000–$155,000
