What's In It For You The ISC IT Manager – Bloomington is responsible for the overall IT performance at their assigned facility in the Thermo King Americas strategic business unit (SBU). Supporting the site leadership team, the ISC IT Manager is the primary site contact for IT services and support across the front office, plant, and warehouse operations. Managing the local IT team, he/she works as a liaison between our key business partners, SBU IT and multiple IT shared services teams to maintain and improve IT service delivery. He/she is a key contributor to the development and execution of IT solutions supporting the SBU strategy to grow revenue, increase operating income, and improve productivity for the site. This role also supports the technology landscape across front office operations, manufacturing, warehouse management, inventory control, and material flow processes to help ensure operational continuity and drive business performance. This is an onsite position based at our manufacturing facility in Bloomington, MN. Also, the ISC IT Manager may have responsibility for overseeing IT services at more than one manufacturing location. What You Will Do Responsible for the overall IT service delivery performance at the siteLeads, coaches and supports the local IT teamFirst point of contact for customer support escalations and major downtime incidentsBuild relationships with functional leaders to align solutions with business strategies across front office, plant, and warehouse functionsCapture demand and help prioritize project requests and change requests/enhancementsDevelop and execute IT strategy to maintain strong alignment with the business while delivering results for the site(s)Partners with operations leadership and IT to develop and execute IT strategy supporting annual and long-range plansTechnology advocate for the site, maintains alignment between Lean manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with company IT standardsAs part of SBU IT, works with enterprise IT and external partners to support site deployments in areas such as ERP, MES, warehouse management systems, and digital factory program initiativesSupports warehouse operations by ensuring effective IT solutions for inventory management, warehouse execution, material movement, and system integration across plant and distribution workflowsSupports front office business operations by ensuring reliable IT services, business application support, end-user productivity tools, and alignment with site functional needsCoordinates the site’s participation and leads/manages the local execution of projects such as application implementations, technology deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and warehouse-related systems enhancementsPartners with operations, supply chain, and warehouse leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that improve inventory accuracy, material flow, storage optimization, and warehouse productivityApplies lean principles to IT standard work processes, standard application functionality and data standards to eliminate wasteParticipate in and/or lead continuous improvement activities and events within the site(s) including RIE’s, VSA’s, and health checksIdentifies opportunities to leverage and improve the use of technology. Develop improvement recommendations to optimize service deliverySupports the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of systems used in front office operations, warehousing, inventory transactions, and plant-to-warehouse process integration What You Will Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management or related technical discipline is required. Master’s degree is a plus5+ years experience in a manufacturing IT environment, or equivalent manufacturing operations / engineering experience, with a demonstrated history of success and progressionExperience with manufacturing/shop floor applications and systems including MES/production execution, inventory/warehousing, warehouse management, quality and maintenance applicationsExperience supporting front office users and business functions, as well as warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material flow operations in a manufacturing / industrial environmentExperience participating and/or leading projects in a manufacturing / industrial environmentKnowledge of Oracle ERP System, Dematic Warehouse, Apriso MES, and warehouse management or warehouse execution systems is a plusUnderstanding of and experience applying Lean principles is a plusUnderstanding of factory automation, warehouse automation, and machine integration is a plusExperience with onshore/offshore models for both projects and operations supportAble to work safely in an industrial machinery environmentOvernight travel may be required to some of our North American facilities.
