About the role

The Information Technology (IT) Manager provides oversight and management of the company’s IT Service and Infrastructure value chains, ensuring that computer hardware and software, as well as networks and servers, perform consistently and effectively. This role acts as the point of contact for ITSM-related planning, projects, budgets, long-term problem solving, handling of incidents, and issues with the company’s IT systems. The IT Manager directly supervises one to four direct reports and is responsible for administering systems, deployment, and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors to negotiate and manage contracts, find new vendors and technology, and make IT purchases.
  • Review and approve all IT-related expenditures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through continual improvement methods.
  • Offer guidance, training, team building, and mentoring opportunities to the IT Service team.
  • Delegate tasks to IT Service and Infrastructure staff.
  • Review IT Technician performance and take corrective action, including mediation and problem resolution.
  • Review change plans and take action to prevent disruptions.
  • Create a sense of common purpose and foster team collaboration.
  • Review training and development options to increase staff skills.
  • Respond to vendor, owner, and employee incident reports.
  • Assist employees with IT issues using remote access tools.
  • Maintain disaster recovery software, analyze its activity, and improve its effectiveness.
  • Streamline data storage applications, including SharePoint and Dropbox.
  • Assist with office renovations by providing insight into IT capabilities.
  • Maintain and improve enterprise-wide IT systems and CMMC v2 evidence.
  • Provide 3rd-tier support for IT-related issues.
  • Lead the introduction of relevant best practice processes, tools, and models (CMMC v2).
  • Promote adoption of best practice processes, tools, and models.
  • Provide advice, coaching, and technical support to embed best practices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of best practice processes, tools, and models.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks or duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Three to five plus years of experience in the IT Field as a Systems Administrator or equivalent role.
  • ITIL Foundations v4 certification.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, On-Prem Active Directory, Backup Solutions, SharePoint, Dropbox, Windows and macOS, VMWare, Cisco Meraki, SmartDeploy, Dell, and Apple hardware systems.
  • Extensive skills, training, and knowledge of software and operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology standards and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence between functional units.
  • Ability to stay current on IT trends, best practices, and develop written company policies.
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right the first time.

  • Passion for safety and ability to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of the company.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This office-based role requires frequent computer use and effective communication, with occasional travel to project sites as needed. Site visits may involve extended periods of standing or walking and require personal protective equipment (PPE), with potential exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather.

Pay

$110,000—$135,000 USD
