- Infrastructure as a Product
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Data and business leaders to align infrastructure roadmaps to business capabilities, developer experience, and delivery outcomes.
- Define and track product health using metrics such as reliability, automation coverage, change failure rate, mean time to recovery, and customer experience.
- Own the engineering and escalation for end-to-end service experience for associates and stakeholders, including endpoints, collaboration tooling, and workplace technology.
- Shift service delivery from ticket‑driven execution to experience driven outcomes, measured by reliability, resolution time, and user satisfaction.
- Platform & Automation Strategy
- Lead the evolution toward platform engineering, enabling teams to provision and operate infrastructure through standardized, API driven, self‑service workflows.
- Champion Infrastructure‑as‑Code, GitOps, and policy‑as‑code as the default delivery model across all infrastructure domains.
- Reduce manual toil by aggressively automating provisioning, patching, compliance, recovery testing, and operational workflows.
- Ensure infrastructure platforms are prepared to support AI workloads, including data pipelines, model experimentation, secure access to AI services, and responsible AI controls.
- Continuously evaluate emerging infrastructure, platform, and operational technologies to inform long‑term strategy and investment decisions.
- Drive automation and intelligent operations (AIOps) to improve detection, diagnosis, and remediation of incidents.
- Own enterprise resilience strategy including disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity—emphasizing automation, repeatability, and continuous validation.
- Embed security and compliance into platforms through automated baselines, identity‑driven access, Zero Trust principles, and continuous monitoring.
- Partner with IT Security & Compliance to ensure infrastructure controls are preventative, auditable, and scalable.
- Management & Leadership
- Accountable for communicating infrastructure portfolio health, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders using clear, outcome‑oriented metrics.
- Build and lead a team of engineering managers, platform leaders, and operations professionals aligned to a modern product operating model.
- Establish clear ownership boundaries between Run, Grow, and Transform work while continuously reducing Run through automation.
- Own portfolio‑level prioritization and tradeoff decisions across infrastructure products and domains, balancing reliability, speed, cost, and strategic value.
- Own infrastructure budgets with a focus on cost‑to‑serve transparency, optimization, and long-term sustainability.
- Manage vendor relationships as strategic partnerships, balancing reliability, innovation, and cost efficiency.
