About the role
This position performs design, installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of network, security systems, servers, desktops, VoIP phones, AV systems, and server rooms, including the Manufacture network and other manufacturing systems. The role provides Tier 2 and 3 support, technical recommendations, direction, and coordinates technical projects related to IT network and infrastructure systems and/or specialized manufacturing systems. This is an onsite-based role Monday-Friday at our West Lebanon, NH bio-production facility.
Responsibilities
- Drive and maintain IT Operations service delivery and Incident Management at the site, serving as the single point of contact (SPOC) for overall administration, operation, and maintenance of the technological platform.
- Perform regular maintenance of IT infrastructure components, facilitating communication and coordination among local and organizational stakeholders, including IT/OT SMEs, System Managers, and IT QA.
- Maintain IT services and operations according to service level agreements and contracts, evaluating them at least annually to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Act as an IT Operations advocate, coordinating daily activities with the IT Manager and team members.
- Assist in developing strategic direction for IT assets, monitoring industry advancements, and recommending cost-effective technologies.
- Monitor infrastructure service availability and performance, taking actions to support business process performance.
- Partner with IT Security and other SMEs to implement and maintain controls and technologies ensuring business continuity.
- Train staff and stakeholders as needed.
- Document, track, and monitor IT service delivery and incidents to ensure timely resolution, including escalation and follow-up.
- Analyze complex computer systems, identify problems, and develop logical solutions for IT infrastructure in service operations or projects (e.g., server hardware/software, printers, telephony, LAN/WAN).
- Design, support, troubleshoot, and maintain network communications (data and voice) across the facility.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory, Windows, Linux, VMware, and other server/infrastructure platforms.
- Coordinate and lead IT infrastructure-related projects, including internal and external teams.
- Provide Tier 1 hands-on support for end-user/desktop issues, including service delivery and incident response.
- Maintain the qualified state of GxP IT infrastructure, providing input, review, and hands-on support for documentation and test execution.
- Drive and maintain IT infrastructure configuration management, executing periodic reviews at least annually.
- Support Inspection Readiness in IT.
- Make strategies and plans visible to demonstrate progress.
- Use problem-solving tools to define and execute the right actions.
- Listen to and mature others’ ideas for business improvement, translating them into visible strategies.
- Inform stakeholders about risks and mitigation strategies, adopting a risk-based approach.
- Perform all duties in a compliant, ethical manner, adhering to healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes.
- Incorporate the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions.
- Perform additional duties as outlined by the Sr. IT Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field (required).
- MS/MBA in Information Technology or related field (preferred).
- Industry certifications in a technical discipline (preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) plus years of related IT experience (required).
- MS/MBA with two (2) plus years of related IT experience (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in Network Administration based on CISCO Technologies (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in Virtual Infrastructure Administration based on VMWare Technologies (preferred).
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience (preferred).
Skills
- Strong understanding and ability to manage local/wide area networks and server administration.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies and platforms.
- Practical experience developing and administering networks with more than 200 clients.
