12-month, full-time, on-site position at Southeast KY Community & Technical College (Pineville campus). Standard hours: 37.5 per week. FLSA status: Non-Exempt.

About the role

The IT Helpdesk Coordinator II assists with technical troubleshooting and documentation for customers to support the institution’s mission through technology. This position is based on the Pineville campus and requires travel to the Knox campus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and advanced troubleshooting for computers, laptops, VOIP phones, printers, and projector hardware/software.
  • Maintain a stable and secure network environment by ensuring all computers are regularly patched with Microsoft updates.
  • Monitor lab functionality to minimize downtime.
  • Install images using SCCM for lab computers, mobile carts, and office units as needed.
  • Ensure computers are updated with the latest software and operating systems.
  • Assist faculty, staff, and students with hardware/software issues, including account and password/MFA resets.
  • Provide technical support for Microsoft Teams meetings/classes, ensuring units are functional by or ahead of scheduled start times.
  • Assist with training for SKCTC personnel and students on technology usage.
  • Travel to other SKCTC campuses to address technology needs, upgrades, and training.
  • Support the IT team in meeting goals and addressing needs as required.
  • Assist students and employees from other campuses with password resets, MFA issues, and other technical problems.
  • Implement VLAN standardization in preparation for the transition from Cisco to Juniper switches, including color-coding patch cables.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Pay

$31,680.00 per year.
