IT Help Desk Technician - Millennium Space Systems

About the Role

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact to global security, like missile warning and Earth observation. The IT Help Desk Technician will provide technical support and assistance to Millennium employees and contractors, whether on the phone or in person. This role’s primary goal is to ensure a client's satisfaction and ability to properly operate any PC or technology they may be having trouble using. This is an onsite role located at our office in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely and organized manner using Service Now ticketing system
• Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and computer chat to provide customer assistance
• Document customer interactions
• Run diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues
• Support new employee onboarding
• Escalate issues as needed to the next Tier of IT support
• Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
• Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved

Requirements

• Technical degree or 2+ years of experience working in a help desk role
• Proficiency with Dell Computers utilizing Windows 10/11
• Highly organized with strong ability to keep Help Desk tickets in order
• Available to work overtime if needed
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship; a final U.S. clearance Post Start is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, IP Phones, Windows 11
• Experience supporting new employee onboarding
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts or sites with minimal notice
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer, mobile devices, and printer technical issues
• CompTIA A+ certification
• CompTIA Security+ certification

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Level 2: $62,050 – $91,250.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
