Responsibilities
- Help Desk Support
- Serve as the first contact for hardware, software, network, and peripheral support requests via ticketing system, email, and walk-up.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve technical issues for workstations, laptops, printers, monitors, and mobile devices.
- Escalate complex issues to the Lead Systems Engineer with clear documentation and troubleshooting history; own resolution through to close.
- Manage and close tickets in Cyrq’s NetSuite IT support ticketing system; track resolution times, document issue trends, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
- Systems and Infrastructure Support
- Support Microsoft 365 environment user provisioning and access.
- Manage full employee IT (hardware / software) lifecycle (new user to deprovisioning).
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets across all Cyrq Energy locations, including the Reno corporate headquarters and plant sites.
- Coordinate with building management and vendors for connectivity, cabling, and peripheral needs.
- Document procedures, configurations, and recurring issues for knowledge base.
- Support conference room AV/technology setups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-900, or equivalent) preferred.
- 1 or more years of experience in a help desk, desktop support, or IT support role.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals) and networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with ERP-based or integrated ticketing systems; experience with NetSuite preferred.
- Experience supporting a Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) / hybrid domain environment.
- Exposure to endpoint security tools (Sophos, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or similar).
- Experience with Acronis or similar enterprise backup solutions.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Able to complete domestic travel, up to 5%.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Able to sit, for long periods of time.
- When on plant locations: Able to walk moderate distances over uneven ground.
- Able to tolerate remote environments, indoor / outdoor work, wildlife, possible dust, dirt, and wind, including any weather typical for all seasons in southern CA, NV, and UT.
- Able to don all forms of required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
