IT Field Technician (Traveling Technician)

About the role

The role is a travel-focused field technician position supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced patient simulator systems at various healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure patient simulator systems at hospitals, universities, and training centers
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Ensure systems are properly connected to customer networks and fully operational
• Diagnose and resolve Windows-based hardware and software problems
• Provide basic training and support to end users on-site
• Travel to customer locations throughout the region
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company in the field

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the workweek
• Basic IT troubleshooting experience
• Experience working in Windows 10 environments
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, and IP addressing
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and professionally at customer locations

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ or similar certification
• Electronics troubleshooting or repair experience
• Experience in field service, AV, telecom, low-voltage, biomedical equipment, or other hands-on technical environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. The company offers a 401(k) Retirement Plan with pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available, life insurance (voluntary), short and long-term disability, health spending account (HSA), and transportation benefits.

Schedule

Technicians travel Monday through Friday to support customer locations throughout the region and are home on weekends.
