What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day IT support for production floors and office users by responding to and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, handheld devices (PDAs), and other end-user equipment.
- Support the deployment, upgrade, and network connectivity of production equipment and IT systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related IT issues to ensure stable manufacturing operations and minimize production downtime.
- Assist in maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure, including physical installation and connection, basic configuration and troubleshooting of switches, wireless access points and network connectivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized server room environment, respond to equipment alarms, prepare inspection reports, and recommend improvements.
- Manage structured cabling, equipment labeling, and IT assets, including inventory control, asset tagging, lifecycle management, and cable management.
- Respond to Help Desk tickets, perform initial troubleshooting, collect relevant diagnostic information and logs, assist with IT projects, equipment deployments, and system upgrades, and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to provide effective on-site IT support.
- Provide after-hours or on-call technical support as required by business needs and perform other IT operations and support duties assigned by management.
Who You Are
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Android devices, and Microsoft applications.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a commitment to workplace safety, security, compliance, and adherence to established IT policies, procedures, change management processes, and site safety requirements.
- A basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to provide after-hours or on-call technical support as business needs require.
Qualifications
- An associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of IT technical support experience; manufacturing or industrial environment experience, is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems, MDFs, IDFs, UPS systems, server room cooling, and low-voltage infrastructure.
- The ability to independently install, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, handheld devices (PDAs), switches, and wireless access points (APs).
