About the role

One of TEKsystems' clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity on first shift, based in Brook Park, Ohio. The role offers a path to grow from an internship or IT degree into a lifelong IT career, and is suitable for any level of IT support professional looking to advance within a local enterprise company.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications
  • Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11
  • Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10
  • Assist all users with any logged IT-related incident when called upon
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalate incidents to other support teams where necessary
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner

Requirements

  • Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience preferred
  • IT certifications desirable; CompTIA certifications specifically noted as desirable

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
