Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic help desk support for Windows systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Aid in diagnosing and troubleshooting common hardware and software problems.
- Guide users through simple technical resolutions over the phone, email, or in person.
- Perform basic installations, configurations, and updates of Windows operating systems and applications.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
- Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
- Absorb assistance with password resets, printer setups, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
Tier 2 Level IT Requirements
- A basic understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with general IT concepts such as hardware components, software installation, and basic networking.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify common technical issues.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field with guidance from senior team members.
- Preferred familiarity with Active Directory (user account management) and basic networking concepts.
- Completion of an IT-related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+ or equivalent).
Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a help desk or similar IT support role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus).
- A passion for technology and helping users resolve technical issues.
