IT Desktop Support Analyst

About the role

Join an onsite IT team supporting the technology assets that keep healthcare operations running efficiently. Work style is onsite in Gainesville, FL with some travel needs to other UF facilities. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in warehouse operations, supply chain processes, asset management, and IT equipment handling who enjoys both hands-on work and system administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Installs, configures, and maintains desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
• Assists users with resolving technical problems and provides guidance on IT best practices.
• Manages user accounts and system access in accordance with organizational policies.
• Maintains system security by monitoring and updating antivirus software.
• Documents support activities and collaborates with IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Performs routine system maintenance to ensure optimal desktop performance.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience providing technical support for desktop systems
• Knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
• Experience managing user accounts and access rights
• Ability to document support activities and collaborate with IT teams
• Familiarity with antivirus software and system maintenance

Qualifications

College graduate with an AA or AS degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

• Knowledge of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals in a networked environment
• Familiarity with healthcare information systems (preferred)
• Industry-standard technical certifications (A+, Microsoft, Asset Management, Apple)
• Warehouse or supply chain experience
