IT Business Systems Analyst III (Temporary)

This is a temporary position with no leave or retirement benefits. About the role

This position supports data modernization activities to enhance access and use of public health data for state and local public health partners. The role facilitates data visualization and analyses to improve impactful use of data for local and marginalized communities across North Carolina. Additionally, this role assists with converting Tableau dashboards to PowerBI.

This temporary position is located at 1915 Health Services Way in Wake County and is assigned to DHHS Public Health.

Hourly rate of pay: $55.00 (based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates meet the minimum qualifications if they possess the minimum education and experience listed in the class specification.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible IT business analysis, process improvement, or strategic systems work; or

• Associate degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible IT business analysis, process improvement, or strategic systems work; or
• High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of directly relevant experience, including significant enterprise-level or cross-functional leadership responsibilities; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience leading to equivalent qualifications.

Management preferences for this role include experience with data modernization, data visualization, and dashboard conversion (Tableau to PowerBI).
