IT Business Systems Analyst
Job Summary
The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst drives initiatives across the Business Function, leveraging business expertise and collaboration with partners to implement positive change. They envision solutions that follow good data design and create insightful data visualizations for impactful business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead solutions through the system's life cycle, from inception to go-live and beyond.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver creative solutions.
- Deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.
- Advise decision-makers with insightful data visualizations and reporting to drive impactful business decisions.
- Lead projects in consultation with IT Security, Infrastructure Team, Business Owners, and Vendors, ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout.
- Influence the future of business systems while engaging in system/product selection and evaluation.
- Define scope and strategy for quality assurance to keep business systems current and reliable.
- Manage operational activities on projects and enhancements, including monitoring resource needs, preparing documentation, status reports, key issues, and change controls.
- Analyze the overall health of business systems at CF through system issue tracking and cross-functional alignment.
- Establish and implement processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements.
- Ensure established processes/procedures are followed and identify deficiencies, new processes, and extent of process/procedure adherence.
- Develop and implement corrective actions regarding department internal controls as necessary.
Attributes
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering) or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of related professional work experience.
- Skills: Attention to detail, strong communication, ability to influence, knowledge of systems capabilities, business operations, and specific software (Osisoft/Aveva PI System, .Net C#, SQL, Azure DevOps).
- Experience: Chemical manufacturing, refining, or power generation facility.
